Jeff Ronne has been selectively breeding his boas for more and more color for well over a decade. He named his lineage of intensely colored boas "Pastels." From his experience, the pastel color is polygenetic, meaning the more highly colored the parents, the more highly colored their offspring will be. No formula, just the brighter red in the parents, the brighter red the babies will be. For this reason, I will only breed pastel to pastel, or coral albino to pastel. Often hard to photograph, these animals are jewels in person. They drip with pinks and reds laterally, and often will have reduced black pigment in their saddles. There are several other lines of pastel boas being sold, and to the best of my knowledge, they should all work in the same polygenetic fashion. With more and more albinos being produced, the future is in making them as bright as possible.
Existing Designer Morphs: Pastel Albino (Pastel and Homozygous Albino), Pastel Anerythristic or Ivory (Pastel and Homozygous Anerythristic), Pastel or Coral Sunglow (Pastel and Homozygous Albino and Co-Dominant Salmon), Pastel Salmon (Pastel and Co-Dominant Salmon).
