Scientific Name: Boa constrictor imperator

Genetics: Recessive pattern Mutation

First Produced by: Peter Kahl

Peter Kahl's stripe line is one of the most respected and well-known in the boa market today. There are probably a dozen lines of stripe boas in the current market that are genetic, however many of these are not completely understood as to their exact genetics and inheritance. Kahl's stripe is simple recessive, and there are many other mutations that have already been crossed into this line of stripe. Most notably has to be the high quality albinos and striped albinos that come from this line. Kahl stripes act like the piebald gene in Ball Pythons, meaning that breeding two 10% striped animals together could give you a completely striped neonate. The more complete the stripe is, the more valuable that animal is.

Kahl stripes will be a wise investment for years to come as breeders look to increase the quality of their sunglows, as well as producing the much sought after STRIPED SUNGLOW.

Existing Designer Combinations:  Striped Albino (Homozygous Striped and Albino), Striped Salmon (Homozygous Striped and Co-Dominant Salmon).
