Ironically, the first albino boas were produced the same year as the first albino balls. The year 1992, dare I say, was the dawning of the mass reptile craze. Today, nearly 15 years later, boas and balls dominate the reptile scene. Shh, don't tell the retic guys, remember bigger is better ;) Peter Kahl's line of albino, a.k.a. the original strain, has become the cornerstone of the boa market for good reason. Baby albino boas are amazing! They start off with a creamy/white body color with varying degrees of orange saddles and flaming orange/red tails. Within the original line of albinos, another phase of albino popped up. The coral albino has been produced from several different breedings within the original albino line. It appears to be what is now termed as a "Pastel" albino. If you breed enough boas, some animals display varying amounts of pink shows up throughout their bodies. Through selective breeding, you can pair-up animals with the most pink to produce amazing "Coral or Pastel Albinos."
**The 3 month old albino pictured above was from my first litter of boas that I ever produced in 2003.
