| Common Name:
Ball python Scientific Name: Python regius Morph: Calico Genetics: co-dominant Pattern mutation First Produced by: NERD in 2002 |
The Calico gene presents itself in a highly variable manner, through several different proven blood lines. The Sugar line is my favorite, and appears to be the most dramatic of the lines. Calicos can look just like a normal animal, with just a few white flecks that develop as the animal ages, to extremely white covered reduced pattern black backed animals. The best Calicos are truly jaw dropping.
