The albino Ball python is credited with being the first inheritable genetic trait introduced to the US market. As a general rule, an albino animal lacks all dark pigment. Black pigment is replaced with white, and the brown pigment is replaced with yellow. The eyes of an albino are bright pink. Within the range of albinos, there are varying degrees of contrast and shades of yellow. A high contrast albino will typically have a crisp orange pattern contrasting a stark white background. Animals labeled faded albino will have a soft yellow appearance that seems to melt into the white background.
Existing Designer Morphs: Snow (Homozygous Albino and Axanthic), Albino Spider (Homozygous Albino and Co-dominant or Dominant Spider), Albino Piebald (Homozygous Albino and Piebald), Albino Striped (Homozygous Albino and Striped), Albino Clown (Homozygous Albino and Clown), Albino Pastel (Homozygous Albino and Co-dominant Pastel), Albino Ghost (Homozygous Albino and Ghost).
